Physiographic regions Maps of physiographic features, or regional landforms, help ecologists and natural resource managers understand the location of various habitats. And such maps can help anyone make better sense of the landscape. Ohios 33 physiographic regions are the result of an interplay between glacial geology, bedrock geology, topography, soils, and geologic history. The map below is a new update of Ohios physiographic regions. It was created by C. Scott Brockman for the Ohio Division of Geological Survey. To order copies, call 614-265-6576.
