Donate it when you're through

Passing on your gently worn things to others is as beneficial to the environment as recycling. Clevelanders have options to donate used and discarded clothes, toys, sporting goods and other household items in good condition rather than tossing them into the trash.

The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District publishes its guidebook "Pass it on: A resource-full guide to donating usable stuff," including a list of 138 community service organizations that use donated items to support their work. To request a free copy of "Pass it on," call 216-689-2265.
