In addition to access, the second component of great waterfronts is the quality of the amenities, activities and design, and again we will explore this first by looking at the current conditions here in Cleveland and then a series of best practices examples from other cities. The best practices we will discuss include continuity; quality of construction, materials and maintenance; comfort and safety; place specific; and variety.
