Alternative Beacon Place development in Cleveland
regional visions

The Citizens' Bioregional Plan presents a pro-development vision for Northeast Ohio. But it's very important where that development occurs. This part of the site contains maps showing how the region could meet its development needs—and become more sustainable in the long run—by rebuilding existing cities and towns and preserving the countryside. A map of urban centers and town centers shows where development should be encouraged. An Outer Emerald Necklace map presents an ambitious vision for open space protection. And, finally, a composite map brings together ideas for development zones and preservation zones—a way to rethink development at the regional scale.
