Hundreds of people, organizations, and projects are moving Northeast Ohio toward greater sustainability. We believe that the regional network is bigger than we currently imagine - and it has the power to set a positive agenda for our regional future. The following events will continue the discussion about who is part of the sustainability landscape and how to facilitate an effective network.

Facilitating a GreenCityBlueLake Network
May 18, 5:30 p.m., Cleveland Environmental Center, 3500 Lorain Ave.
Brainstorming session on the resources and services needed to support a broad sustainability network in Northeast Ohio. This session will build on workshops held April 15 at the Case Center for Regional Economic Issues and April 25 at the Cleveland Museum of Art. For more information, contact , EcoCity Cleveland.

REI Regional Meeting: Universities and the Regional Knowledge Network
May 26, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, 1515 W. 3rd St.
Explore the role of local universities in serving a regional network for sustainability. Speakers will include Ed Morrison of the Case Center for Regional Economic Issues (REI), Holly Harlan of Entrepreneurs for Sustainability, David Beach of EcoCity Cleveland, and Bruce Latimer of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Opportunities for Regional Sustainability Forum
June 24, 9 to 11:45 a.m., Fisher Auditorium, Ohio Agricultural Research & Development Center (OARDC) in Wooster.
The speaker will be Ed Morrison from the Case Center for Regional Economic Issues. Networking sessions will identify activities and resources (e.g., informational, financial, human) which would provide synergistic benefit for the region. April 15
Mapping the broad sustainability community:
This interactive brainstorming session will tap your knowledge to map the sustainability landscape of Northeast Ohio. Using network mapping software, we will explore the relationships between the organizations, projects, and issues that are making a difference today.

April 19
The entrepreneurial network for sustainability:
Entrepreneurs for Sustainability (E4S) has been collecting information about its members and who is in their networks. At the April 19 E4S meeting, social networking expert Valdis Krebs will unveil what this network looks like. And EcoCity Cleveland's David Beach will discuss the potential for a GreenCityBlueLake Network — a new network identity to provide context for sustainability in Northeast Ohio. 5:30 - 8 p.m., Great Lakes Brewing Co. April 25
Designing an open network to facilitate sustainability:
This workshop will explore how an open network can provide a strong identity and support collaborative action for sustainability in Northeast Ohio. What would the network look like? What would it do? What services would be needed to make everyone more effective?
